Dan Thiessen's Toronto Maple Leafs Extended Profile
Who am I?
A Western Canadian boy who has lived across Canada. I've cheered for Les Habitants as the only Canadien's fan in British Columbia then to the Oilers when they placed 16th and beat out the first place Canadiens. Follwing a move to Southern Ontario I actually cheered for the Maple Leafs during the Gilmour/Clark years. My next stop was in Ottawa where it took several years but started cheering for the Senators. There's an old joke that goes, "Where is the safest place in the N.H.L.? The front of the Senator's net!" They are slowly remedying that problem and except for anomole of last season they are a great hockey organization. I am presently residing in the U. S. of A. but my love for hockey is deep and has spanned from watching Rocket Richard and Jean Beliveau to cheering Spezza and Heatley. Writing about hockey is a natural for me. Hope you enjoy!
